Paris Regional Medical Center Announces an Additional $5-7 Million to the Project

Paris, TX- Paris Regional Medical Center (PRMC) has announced an additional $5-7 million investment from parent company, RegionalCare Hospital Partners, for the previously announced Northward Bound Project. Northward Bound will allow for consolidation the medical, surgical, and emergency services on the North Campus of Paris Regional Medical Center.



The initial scope of the Northward Bound Project was budgeted at approximately $15 million, but with the added investment from RegionalCare, the hospital is expected to see numerous additions. The additional scope will include:
  • New CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
  • New Oversized Patient Elevator
  • Kitchen and Dining Area
  • Physician Lounge/Dictation/Charting Area
  • Endoscopy Suites in the New Tower
  • Renovate Patient Room Floor Finishes
  • Renovate Administration Suite
  • New Nurse Call System
  • New Code Blue System
“We are very excited about the additional investment that RegionalCare has provided, to not only Paris Regional Medical Center but to the communities that we serve,” said Bill Porter, CEO. “We’re looking forward to October and to the future of PRMC. We are confident that this expansion and consolidation will allow for easier access to care for patients and a better environment to provide care for physicians and hospital employees.”

Mr. Porter added, “It is important to note that the added scope and investment will not affect the project completion date. We are on track for The Northward Bound Project to be completed in October 2012.”
The initial scope of the Northward Bound Project includes:
  • Renovation of admitting and financial counselors area
  • Renovation of the main lobby/waiting area
  • New Pre-Admit Testing Area for patients
  • Relocation of Cardio Diagnostic Area, Outpatient PT/OT Speech Area and Imaging to the first floor
  • New Emergency Triage and Fast Track Exam Area
  • New Surgery, PACU, Pre/Holding Unit
  • Renovation of the Pharmacy and Central Sterile Supply Area
  • Renovation of CCU Waiting and Support Spaces
